I've been in France for several weeks in July and have been really impressed with the uptake and use of QR codes. You can't go out to a restaurant, train station or tourist area without seeing a useful application of the technology.

Calais tourist office has a particularly good example. They have produced a leaflet that outlines what QR codes are, how to download a free barcode reader app for multiple phone operating systems and how to use the codes as you tour the city landmarks.

In my travel experience the French appear to be leading the way in use of QR codes. Is there a country with similar usage levels you are aware of?
